FreePBX 14 Certificate file and key file

#1

Hi, my site’s Let’s Encrypt certificate has been validated.
FOP2, an application for Asterisk, is asking for “the correct values for the certificate file and key file” with references to examples:

ssl_certificate_file=/etc/pki/tls/certs/localhost.crt
ssl_certificate_key_file=/etc/pki/tls/private/localhost.key

What are these, and where do I find them?

Assuming you used Certbot,

ssl_certificate_file

/etc/letsencrypt/live/example.org/fullchain.pem

ssl_certificate_key_file

/etc/letsencrypt/live/example.org/privkey.pem

#3

The ssl_certificate_file was found here:
/etc/asterisk/keys/mypbx.mysite.com/fullchain.pem

But I cannot locate the privkey.pem file?

This directory doesn’t have anything to do with Let’s Encrypt. If you have issued Let’s Encrypt certificates, then you’ll need to let us know what software or websites you used to do it - that will inform where the private key can be found.

The FOP2 software is working OK now by using the .pem file:

/etc/asterisk/keys/mypbx.mysite.com/private.pem
