Error with Certify The Web Invalid Response

#1

My Domain is Secbusol.com, I use no-ip which changes it to secbusol.ddns.net. Both of these have bindings in IIS to port 80.

I’m using Certify The Web app to install ssl certificate. Here’s what I have done:
I clicked on New Certificate, then under select Website I choose Default Web Site and the 2 domains above are listed under Domains and Subdomains to include, with secbusol.com as the primary. Then I click on the Test button and it says everything is completed sucessfully.
Then i click on the Request Certificate button and get the following error:

I’m a noob with this stuff, so any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

You are using an GoDaddy url redirector… Which does not work because let’s Encrypt now does not follow redirection from domains to IPs (especially when this is a iframe, not redirection)

Please remove the service (redirect) from GoDaddy and try to add A records to your domain.

Tutorial on add an a record to your GoDaddy DNS:
https://www.godaddy.com/help/add-an-a-record-19238

Thank you

Not sure I understand what to put in the A record. It asks for host and ip address.

I put secbusol.ddns.net as host and 172.85.17.34 as IP and i still get the same error. I deleted the redirect from GoDaddy.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Please take a look at the tutorial i’ve posted to the previous reply.

Thank you

P.S. you could just set the server domain to match your primary domain name instead of ddns after you successfully set the ‘A record’ of your domain.

Are you saying that you tried to get a certificate for secbusol.ddns.net, or that you tried to get a certificate for secbusol.com after making these changes?
