Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. [https://crt.sh/?q=example.com](https://crt.sh/?q=example.com)), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is:
retex.global
I ran this command:
sudo ./certbot-auto certonly --csr request.csr --webroot -d retex.global -w /data/www --debug
It produced this output:
Error: couldn’t get currently installed version for /opt/eff.org/certbot/venv/bin/letsencrypt:

Certbot’s support for Amazon Linux 1 and 2 is “experimental”. Unfortunately you can run into issues like this.

You can try some of the workarounds listed on [https://github.com/certbot/certbot/issues/2544](https://github.com/certbot/certbot/issues/2544), or consider using a different ACME client like acme.sh, lego or others from [https://letsencrypt.org/docs/client-options/](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/client-options/) .
