Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. [https://crt.sh/?q=example.com](https://crt.sh/?q=example.com)), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: [robotscollective.org](http://robotscollective.org)

I ran this command: sudo certbot renew

It produced this output:

Attempting to renew cert ([robotscollective.org](http://robotscollective.org)) from /etc/letsencrypt/renewal/robotscollective.org.conf produced an unexpected error: urn:ietf:params:acme:error:malformed :: The request message was malformed :: Unable to update challenge :: authorization must be pending. Skipping.
All renewal attempts failed. The following certs could not be renewed:
/etc/letsencrypt/live/robotscollective.org/fullchain.pem (failure)

Hi @scharbonneau

normally, that error says: Your client is buggy, you send the commands in the wrong order.

But that with Certbot? Curious. So I don't really understand your output.

First step: Update your Certbot.
