#1

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better.

My domain is: retina.nie.edu.sg

I ran this command: sudo ./letsencrypt-auto --apache -d retina.nie.edu.sg

It produced this output:

Website is based on Windows Server.

Generating the Let’s Encrypt Certificate is an Apache, Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

Just a quick question am i suppose to generate the certificate in in windows server or i can create another Ubuntu Server to help me generate certificate to the website i require.

Thank you.

Can you reach retina.nie.edu.sg in your browser? I canʼt. My browser says:

retina.nie.edu.sg’s server DNS address could not be found.

To get a valid certificate from a public CA you need to have your domain reachable from the internet.

Hi There,
I think it should be a reachable DNS address in the browser.
Thank you.

I can’t reach retina.nie.edu.sg

If I check retina.nie.edu.sg it suggests your authoritative nameservers should be dns.nie.edu.sg and if I query thouse, they don’t provide an IP for your domain. Maybe they only resolve internally. It needs to be eitehr an externally resolving domain though, or you have access to your authoritative nameservers to use the DNS challenge.
