Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. [crt.sh | example.com](https://crt.sh/?q=example.com)), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is:mobileapp.cajapopularmanzanillo.com.mx

I ran this command:$ sudo certbot --nginx -d mobileapp.cajapopularmanzanillo.com.mx -d www.mobileapp.cajapopularmanzanillo.com.mx

It produced this output:An unexpected error occurred:
requests.exceptions.SSLError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='[acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org](http://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org)', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /directory (Caused by SSLError(SSLCertVerificationError(1, '[SSL: CERTIFICATE\_VERIFY\_FAILED] certificate verify failed: unable to get local issuer certificate (\_ssl.c:997)')))

My web server is (include version):nginx/1.18.0

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):Linux Mint 21 Vanessa

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:Neubox

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don't know):yes

I'm using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):no

The version of my client is (e.g. output of `certbot --version` or `certbot-auto --version` if you're using Certbot):certbot 1.21.0

Me regresa este error

curl -4Ii [https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/](https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/)
curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
More details here: [curl - SSL CA Certificates](https://curl.se/docs/sslcerts.html)

curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not
establish a secure connection to it. To learn more about this situation and
how to fix it, please visit the web page mentioned above.

Your operating system seems to be a bit outdated.
I'm not familiar with "`Linux Mint 21 Vanessa`", so I can't say for sure how to proceed.
The short story is likely that it requires an update to "`ca-certificates`".
