Not really. If sudo certbot certificates shows something then it has a Certbot renewal profile for auto-renew. The sudo certbot delete is the recommended way to delete the cert files and renewal profile.
If Certbot does not know of any certs then you must have copied the files somewhere. You can just delete them if you don't need them anymore.
