Does Let's Encrypt support sub-subdomains

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better.

My domain is:
https://test.campus.austincodingacademy.com

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:
Heroku + Cloudflare

I’ve installed the certificate generated by certbot onto Heroku for test.campus.austincodingacademy.com, added the domain to Heroku, and have Cloudflare forcing https. I’m still getting unsecured, has anyone else set up a sub-subdomain?

Let’s Encrypt does support sub-subdomains, but Cloudflare doesn’t - at least not with their free offering.

This is correct. They also do not support it for their $20 offering. But “greying out the cloud” fixed the issue

hi @mistakevin

If I am adding DNS records for the purpose of HTTP validation I always grey out

This is because cloudflare with automatically redirect traffic to 443 which won’t work for the HTTP challenge
