Dns challenge for subdomain defined using A record

Hi,

I have a question about Domain validation for a subdomain that defined using A record.

Let say we have a registered domain in Cloudflare “example.com” and the user creates a record that points to IP with the name “test.example.com”.

If I want to order a certificate for “test.example.com” where the TXT record challenge should be created? is it possible?

Same question for “*.test.example.com” ?

On Cloudflare, the TXT record is created in the same DNS management page as all other records for the domain/zone. In your example that contains both a test.example.com and *.test.example.com, you’d have two records with different values that looked something like this:
