IMPORTANT NOTES:

what is the problem exactly? and how can i make sure that the hostname of my server is haering.gitlab.com ?

Hi @Anes1994

you need a domain name. But that domain doesn't exist - https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=haering.gitlab.com

Host T IP-Address is auth. ∑ Queries ∑ Timeout
haering.gitlab.com Name Error yes 1 0
www.haering.gitlab.com Name Error yes 1 0

Are you able to create a gitlab-Subdomain?

You need an A entry haering.gitlab.com -> your ip address to use --standalone.

How can I get a domain name? and what do you mean by gitlab-Subdomain?

The domain you use is a gitlab-Subdomain.

Read some basics

You can only create a certificate if you are the domain- or subdomain - owner.

No i am not using a gitlab-subdomain, i just want to give it that name in a realtion with gitlab.
I am hosting gitlab under my proper server

You use a gitlab subdomain - haeing.gitlab.com is one.

Ah okay I understand that.
But now how can i get the requested domain, i mean “haering.gitlab.com” ?

Ask Gitlab. I don't know if Gitlab offers such an option.

Okay thank you. I will check and get back here again if such a problem persists.
