# Convert manual to Webroot renewal

Tried this and I'm getting the below error

> Cert is due for renewal, auto-renewing...  
> Plugins selected: Authenticator webroot, Installer None  
> Starting new HTTPS connection (1): [acme-staging-v02.api.letsencrypt.org](http://acme-staging-v02.api.letsencrypt.org)  
> Renewing an existing certificate  
> Performing the following challenges:  
> Attempting to renew cert ([xxx.com](http://xxx.com)) from /etc/letsencrypt/renewal/xxx.com.conf produced an unexpected error: None of the preferred challenges are supported by the selected plugin. Skipping.  
> All renewal attempts failed. The following certs could not be renewed:  
> /etc/letsencrypt/live/xxx.com/fullchain.pem (failure)
