Controlling What Domains Get Certificates on cPanel

I want to issue a certificate for a domain, but don’t want it for subdomains too. Any idea on how to do this in a cPanel environment? Is there a way I can edit the certificate configuration to not include subdomains?

How are you going about this? Have you chosen a client? Are you using the cPanel AutoSSL plugin?
