I have just published checkcrt, an automation script in BASH for the excellent acme-tiny client.
This script supports expiry date checking (so it will automatically adapt to any future reductions in certificate lifetimes), automatic fail retry, privilege control, and email notification on failure and success.
If you have unique requirements for the way your certificate is assembled, such as requiring the site certificate to be saved together with the server private key (as required by lighttpd), then this script can handle this too.
