Hi,

we would like to create a lets encrypt certificate on an ubuntu 18.04 vServer that is hosted by Strato. There is a fixed ip and a domain name which is called h######.stratoserver.net
However, we when we run the command certbot with this subdomain it comes up with an error message:

_There were too many requests of a given type :: Error creating new order :: too many certificates already issued for: [stratoserver.net](http://stratoserver.net): see [https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/)_

Is there any way around this issue and issue a certificate just for that subdomain h######?

Thank you!

You should probably tell them to add that domain to the [public suffix list](https://publicsuffix.org/).

use your own domain name. Or create a new own subdomain with a CNAME to that `stratoserver.net` address.

Then use your own subdomain to connect your server.

Thanks - we have resolved it that way.
