Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. [crt.sh | example.com](https://crt.sh/?q=example.com)), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: [api.alisuq.me](http://api.alisuq.me)

I ran this command:
sudo certbot certonly -a nginx --agree-tos --no-eff-email --staple-ocsp --email [emranlateef786@gmail.com](mailto:emranlateef786@gmail.com) -d [api.alisuq.me](http://api.alisuq.me) -v
It produced this output:
Requesting a certificate for [api.alisuq.me](http://api.alisuq.me)

An unexpected error occurred:

There were too many requests of a given type :: Error creating new order :: too many failed authorizations recently: see [Failed Validation Limit - Let's Encrypt](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/failed-validation-limit/)

My web server is (include version):

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):
ubunut

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don't know):

I'm using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):

The version of my client is (e.g. output of `certbot --version` or `certbot-auto --version` if you're using Certbot):

Hi @imranrrr, and welcome to the LE community forum 🙂

That limitation will expire within one hour of being triggered.
That said, you should NOT continue to try something that is obviously failing (continuously).
We call that process "Testing".
If you are still in the testing phase, you should use the LE test environment [not the LE production environment].
As for what specific reason your requests fail, we might find more information about that in the logs file:
`/var/log/letsencrypt/letsencrypt.log`

Also Let's Debug http-01 is showing errors [Let's Debug](https://letsdebug.net/api.alisuq.me/1200206)
[Best Practice - Keep Port 80 Open](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/allow-port-80/)

And you were able on **2022-09-17** to get a certificate [crt.sh | api.alisuq.me](https://crt.sh/?q=api.alisuq.me)

Testing and debugging are best done using the **[Staging Environment](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/staging-environment/)** as the **[Rate Limits](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/)** are much higher. Rate Limits are per week (rolling).
