Certbot-auto - New Certificate Obtained but Not Used by Server

certbot-auto says:

Certificate Name: www.boardspace.net
Domains: www.boardspace.net boardspace.net
Expiry Date: 2017-07-26 10:26:00+00:00 (VALID: 68 days)
Certificate Path: /etc/letsencrypt/live/www.boardspace.net/fullchain.pem
Private Key Path: /etc/letsencrypt/live/www.boardspace.net/privkey.pem

but an external ssl checker says

www.boardspace.net
SANs: boardspace.net, www.boardspace.net
Valid from February 23, 2017 to May 24, 2017
Serial Number: 03db92a34492dd92dbb281139d0ab6d58e34
Signature Algorithm: sha256WithRSAEncryption
Issuer: Let’s Encrypt Authority X3

What to do? I think the cert that’s installed is an obsolete one - I went through the
certificate creation process twice.

Hi @ddyer,

Silly question, did you restart/reload your apache server after issuing the certificates?

Cheers,
sahsanu

hi @ddyer

Obtaining a certificate is not the same as installing on the server

If you review the serial of the certificate that was used by your webserver https://crt.sh/?serial=03db92a34492dd92dbb281139d0ab6d58e34

You can see it’s an older certificate

I see you have now updated the certificate
