Cannot install on lighttpd

I followed like 8 online tutorials. Just can’t get lighttpd to work on HTTPS.
mod_openssl is active
Edit: use http://afy.ddns.net/status.php to test

My domain is: afy.ddns.net

My web server is (include version): lighttpd/1.4.53 (ssl) - a light and fast webserver

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): Linux raspberrypi 4.19.97-v7+

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: Myself

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): yes

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): no

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot): certbot 0.31.0

Hi @uAliFurkanY,

Did you create a certificate successfully? What errors are you seeing?

I did. No errors. Just plain “Cannot connect to this website”

The timeout behavior that I see suggests that there is a firewall blocking connections to port 443 on this server—that is, probably nothing wrong with your lighttpd configuration but a firewall that doesn’t allow the outside world to connect to this port.

AFAIK, there is no firewall for Raspberry PI and if there was a firewall, wouldn’t I be not allowed to use 80 as well?
Gonna shut down every firewall on my network

YES THANK YOU. It was port forwarding not accepting 443.

I'm glad you found it!

It's pretty common on the forum that a firewall or router blocks 443 but not 80, or 80 but not 443. This might be somewhat surprising, but it's not unusual.
