I ran this command: sudo certbot --apache -d caseacceptanceacademy.com -d members.caseacceptanceacademy.com

It produced this output: Success for members.caseacceptanceacademy.com

My web server is (include version): Apache - Ubuntu 16.04

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): Linux

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: Digital Ocean

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): yes

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): no

members.caseacceptanceacademy.com works with https… caseacceptanceacademy.com doesn’t.

SSL Labs sees it the other way:
https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=members.caseacceptanceacademy.com FAILS with "Certificate name mismatch "

https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=caseacceptanceacademy.com PASSES with an “A”; using the LE cert containing both domains.

sudo certbot --apache -d caseacceptanceacademy.com -d members.caseacceptanceacademy.com

Fixed it with this command: sudo certbot --apache -d caseacceptanceacademy.com -d www.caseacceptanceacademy.com -d members.caseacceptanceacademy.com
