Following from here Using Certbot with Certificates Generated From Elsewhere - Automation Oppotunity
Would like to raise the opportunity to do the following
A) Create a certbot compatible renewal file from a X509 certificate (with switch)
B) Being able to use certbot by pointing it to an existing site

As this is a discussion forum and this is quite a straight forward request, perhaps it's better to issue an issue at the certbot GitHub page: github.com/certbot/certbot/issues
How would you have that in mind? Use the certificate of said site? Or should it also work for a site without HTTPS?

B) Yeah it would need an existing certificate. Non HTTPS sites are hard to audit (you need to know what the sites are)

Oeehh, sorry, missed that. Forgot that section even existed, although certbot strictly is an EFF project nowadays 
(Trying to talk things straight for me, obviously ;))
